 Computer Assisted Contact Lens Fitting
Fitting Contact Lenses With Computer Aids

Lens Design employs the latest in eye measurement diagnostics and contact lens fitting techniques.

Contact lenses require great precision to assure fitting comfort and vision accuracy. We utilize many different computer aids to assure that these measurements and lens designs are the best in the industry.

We have software to interpret the exacting measurements of the eye to perform complex mathematical calculations.

We build software for contact lens fitting.

DioRad is software designed specifically to calculate the power of the eye and even combine astigmatic prescriptions to assure the best in vision and lens comfort. Handling large and difficult prescriptions is made easy with this specialized software.  After all your fittings have been performed, our database software "Optizone" stores all your exam information for accurate contact lens refills and exam record reference.

Creating contact lens fittings for complicated eyes requires great precision. Having the ability to make these calculations is imperative for a proper fitting.  As an industry leader in specialized contact lens fitting, we have found the computer to be a powerful tool. At Lens Design, we take great pride in creating and producing specialized software tools that assist in making your contact lens fitting a success.

Orbscan IIz

Orbscan II cornea Topography and Pachymetry

At Lens Design, we employ the Orbscan II by Bausch and Lomb to measure the cornea to exacting topography and thickness. Cornea topography is the mapping of the cornea to see the different elevations and curvature of the cornea. Corneas with curvature anomalies can be mapped using the Orbscan II to micron precision. A micron is 1/1000 of a millimeter.

Pachymetry is the measurement of the cornea thickness. This measurement is vital for corneas that have Keratoconus or Pellucid Marginal Degeneration.

Cornea Map By Orbscan II

The Orbscan II is the industry standard for making sure that these measurements have been taken with the highest precision.  With these advanced diagnostics, you can feel assured that your contact lens fitting has been performed with the highest level of attention to detail.
