The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care runs the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) to help people who have long-term physical disabilities get needed equipment and supplies for your visual needs.

Low Vision Aid Devices available:

Computer systems for low vision -  Lens Design Ltd. is an Ontario ADP registered vendor of "high tech" low vision aids. Equipment authorization forms for "high tech" low vision can be filled at our convenient Toronto west location with easy subway access at the Royal York subway. Lens Design will custom build a computer to the exact specifications of your requirements. Large video screens from 17 inch to 21 inch are available. Computers can be ordered with high resolution flat bed scanners. Our computers are custom made for each user. We use only premium components to ensure our equipment gives excellent performance.

Computer enhancement text enlargement software systems- Zoom Text Extra with document reader and zoom magnification. Text Bridge classic to scan your documents and make available for zoom text. 

Magnifiers, telescopes and binoculars - Custom fit for your particular needs. We carry in stock magnifiers of various powers. We have pocket size, bar readers, illuminated magnifiers and specialized magnifiers custom made to suit your needs.

Specialty eyeglasses and contacts - Several eye disorders can be assisted with specialty contact lenses and or eyeglasses. We design special fitting contact lenses for disorders such ass irregular astigmatism and Keratoconus. Many people with low vision can be helped with simple magnifying glasses that will help to restore your vision to maximum capability. Contrast enhancing lens tints can also help many different conditions.
